I teach yoga and cook a lot. Maybe a little bit less of each since my beautiful son was born in December 2013.
Regarding yoga…after over a decade of personal practice, I completed my 200 hour teacher training through YogaWorks, started to teach group classes, and later enrolled in the Yoga Therapy Rx program at Loyola Marymount University. I will finish Level III in September 2015. I am qualified to work therapeutically with all varieties of chronic conditions and physical imbalances. Please check the Schedule page for updated information on where and when I’m teaching.
Regarding cooking…I believe food is medicine. That’s not to say I don’t eat chocolate chips by the handful or head to the In n’ Out drive thru every now and again. I’m not a vegetarian, but I support your decision to be one. I don’t think there is any one size fits all approach to diet and the 80/20 guideline is very user friendly. All I know is that I feel better when I eat whole, unprocessed food, especially when I prepare it myself.
Regarding life…I’m happiest spending time with my family and learning something new. Being pregnant and birthing a baby were awesome for my tunnel vision tendencies. My home is where my heart is, so I ensure it’s a special, sacred place.
